Building Self Confidence with Hypnotherapy, NLP and Guided Imagery

Building self-confidence with hypnosis has been one of the most common uses of the process. A clinical hypnotherapist can make suggestions to your unconscious mind, to bring about desired outcomes; whether the outcome is a better golf game, lowered pain, or better self-esteem.

When someone suffers from low self-confidence, their life suffers. A lack of confidence can affect your working, family and social life and can contribute to panic attacks, anxiety and depressive disorder". which can lower your self-confidence even further.

Nagging feelings of inadequacy generally do not contribute to other people feeling moved to treat you exceptionally well, either. And so you have a vicious cycle; you feel bad about yourself, and then can be treated badly, which further lowers your self-confidence.

Hypnosis can teach you not only how to relax your conscious mind, but also how to relax your body and to learn how to take control in situations that are important to you, rather than feeling like or behaving like a "doormat."

It has been said by clinical hypnotherapists that hypnosis is a way "to have a conversation with yourself," to heal yourself at your deepest level. Hypnosis brings you to your authentic self, and you will find that your real self is both unique and confident without any need for fakery. Authentic people are usually well received by others and if they are not, they are unlikely to become anxious or reactive. They remain authentic and do what they need to do. Authenticity brings a sense of peace and stability.

When you are a person with high self-confidence, you will exhibit most of the following characteristics:

  • Rationality

  • Intuitiveness

  • Creativity

  • Independence

  • Flexibility

  • Ability to manage change

  • Admitting to mistakes

  • Optimism

  • Curiosity / desire to learn

  • Accepting of criticism

  • At ease under pressure

  • Belief in your abilities

  • Calm and relaxed attitude

  • Confidence when dealing with people

  • Openness to new ideas and ways of thinking

Conversely, when you are dealing with low self-confidence, you are likely to be experiencing:

  • Negative relationships

  • Anxiety

  • Physical problems

  • Eating & weight issues

  • Difficulty accepting the positive

  • Worrying a great deal about what others think of you

  • Treating others well, but treating yourself badly

  • Withdrawal from others

  • You don't expect much out of yourself

  • You can't accept a compliment

  • You don't trust your own opinions or ideas as being valid or worthy

  • You won't take on challenging endeavors

Hypnosis can help us by gently clearing away emotional blockages, and releasing emotions from the past. We can find that our vitality and balance are restored and that we are now programmed, because of the hypnosis, to respond and react in a natural and more appropriate way to life's changes. Your self-confidence and self-esteem will grow as you continue your journey.

Even if you"ve struggled with low self-confidence your entire life, you can begin right now, today, to change that. Hypnosis is a powerful tool
